A Word About Our Church
Prayer & Worship
These activities are at the forefront of church life here, so we put a great deal of effort into them. We have a strong praise team that involves vocalists and musicians and practices weekly. We also offer Kid's Choir, Interpretive Worship (praise through dance and motion), Youth Drama Team, and more. Our church has a strong intercessory prayer ministry with a location devoted specifically to that purpose called The Upper Room. People meet there for prayer 30 minutes prior to both of our main worship services.
Youth & Children
Parkway Praise offers strong and solid ministry for both teens and children. The Youth Group is about a radical commitment to Christ and continues to expand its ministry. Our children are impacted through Children's Church on Sunday Morning, classes on Sunday Evening, summer programs, and opportunities for them to be involved in outreach. A nursery is provided for the main worship services.
Discipleship
At Parkway Sunday Nights are about discipleship. Both direct Bible Study and more practical electives are offered for the adults. Teens are in youth group, and children are in grade level classes. Fellowship opportunities are also provided so that individuals can connect to the community and build relationship.
Outreach
We are constantly striving to increase our ministry both to our church and community. We offer regular Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, Jail Ministry, Food Pantry, and Special Events throughout the year. Our congregation is also missions minded, being involved in supporting ministries around the world.
A Community of Faith
Parkway Praise Center seeks to be a fellowship, in the biblical sense of the word. All kinds of opportunities are provided for people to meet together in ways that help each other - men's breakfasts, retreats, couple's gatherings, widows day out, fellowship dinners, etc.
