Tweens Ministry

Parkway Praise Center offers a "Tweens" ministry, which primarily focuses on the spiritual needs of a "Tween".

What are "Tweens"? They are probably some of the most complicated creatures on the planet. It's hard to understand what they think or what they want because they often aren't sure themselves.

The key to getting along with your "Tween" is by staying in touch. Listen actively when your child is speaking to you. Resist the temptation to jump in and solve problems or lay down unnecessary hard line rules and restrictions. "Tweens" are ready to start solving pieces of their own life puzzle, but want to know their parents are still there to offer support and guidance when it's needed.

The "Tweenagers" of today are the "Teenagers" of tomorrow.... A solid group of "Tweens" will become a solid group of "Teens". A group of 9 to 12 year olds who are grounded in his or her faith and has built strong and healthy peer relationships will most likely carry those beliefs and practices into their teenage years.

We are here to help guide and instruct your "Tweens" on how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This ministry was designed for the purpose of bridging the gap from children's ministry (elementary ages) to teen ministry (high school ages). This age is commonly referred to as the in beTWEEN stage.

We strive to teach that without a relationship with Christ, we can never walk in the fullness of our purpose. Therefore, our goal is to bring each "Tween" face to face with Christ, his great love and ultimately their purpose in life. We will strive to accomplish this be creating a fun, dynamic, and safe environment where God's Word is taught and "Tweens" are equipped to make an impact in the community where they live...for the ultimate glory of God. We will encourage each "Tween" to desire a greater understanding and knowledge of God's Word and who He really is through daily devotions. Many of our "Tweens" are currently involved in a 30/30 program....30 minutes in the Word and 30 minutes in Prayer. This program has not only had a major impact on their lives, but their relationships with Jesus.

In Addition...... Parkway Praise Center offers "Team Sacrifice" a Dance and Drama Ministry for Christ, where our mission is.... To reach the lost who are dying without Him.... and our motto is... We will not sacrifice to the Lord our God, offering which cost us nothing. 2 Samuel 24:24
